I’m not exactly president of the alligator bag fan club, but even if I were, I’m not sure this Coach purse would be on my must-have list. The combination of brown alligator skin and gorgeous rose gold hardware is admittedly stunning on the Coach Delphine Alligator Hobo, but as Coach continues to try to elevate its cachet to Vuitton-comparable levels (where I think it’s quite reasonable to say it will never reach), handbags like this astronomical alligator bag will keep hitting the shelves. At $15,000, it actually tips the scales of insanity and challenges even the most fanatical alligator bag lovers to think twice. It is attractive, but is it worth it when there are so many decadent Nancy Gonzalez croc purses to drool over? Nah. Available at Coach.

  The Coach Bleeker duffle first caught my eye when the F/W catalog landed in my mailbox a few months ago. It was styled just so in the catalog, making the models look as if it were just the most joyous bag in the world. It’s available in quite a few colors, by my favorite is rust, which is shown here on the bottom left. It’s a great shade of brown that is almost a nutmeg/dark camel. The brass hardware compliments rust perfectly, and I love the fact that the bag is meant to be worn messenger style. Don’t let that push this into the frumpy bag category either.  The  Coach Leigh Leather Flap Bag is part of Coach’s Legacy collection. The higher end sector of the line is just what some fashionistas needed to make them want to be apart of the Coach family. Coach often brings to mind suburban soccer moms and hideous monogrammed everything, so the Legacy collection brings a taste of sophistication to an otherwise mass brand. The Leigh has a trendy chain handle and lots of brass hardware that add an edge. The two generous pockets in the front are perfect for things you must have quickly, and the supple leather is soft to the touch. This makes a great everyday purse. Available in both whiskey and black, I really love the black due to contrasting hardware. Best of all?
